Getting involved at Home

Practice 3R yourself. Be the waste monitor at home and make others practice.
Start separating waste as biodegradables and nonbiodegradables.

There are many things in your waste bags which you can make money out of. Give them to a “Botal pattara man”.

Practice home composting in a compost pit, live cage or in a compost bin.
Some local authorities do distribute compost bins at low prices. Inquire your local authority if you are really interested.

Give your waste to your local authority separated as biodegradables and non biodegradables. (Even if there is no proper separate collection)
Urge the Local Authority, PHI, Environmental Officer or other responsible officer of the area to collect waste separately.

Give the massage to your neighbors. Because your collective effort will result a better environment for you all.
